All Pathway Board and Board Committee meetings, unless noted and publicized otherwise, take place at the Pathway offices, located at 505 Hamilton Street, in Toledo, Ohio.

  • May 2nd through May 6th
    • Children’s Book Drive
      Books will be collected during business hours in a bin that will be located in the Pathway lobby. Signage will be posted to inform both staff and the community about the drive. Books that are collected will be donated to Books 4 Buddies, which is a local literacy campaign.
  • May 4th
    • Random Act of Kindness
      Pathway staff will wear their Pathway shirts and perform random acts of kindness throughout the community. Between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., members of the Pathway staff will assist people who are shopping at Seaway Marketplace by carrying their groceries to their cars.
  • May 6th
    • Signs of Kindness
      Signs related to children and fathers will be created, and Brothers United will wear their Pathway shirts and stand at the 4 intersections near the center and hold those encouraging signs from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
  • May 12th
    • Community Action Coffee Break: 9:00 am – 10:00 am
      Pathway will host a “Community Action Coffee Break”, which will include a visit from Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson and Lucas County Commissioners. Mayor Hicks-Hudson will present Pathway with a Resolution recognizing May as Community Action Month. An invitation will be extended to the Pathway Board Members, and experts from Human Trafficking, Toledo PD Gangs Unit, Toledo African American Chamber of Commerce, and Safe Kids of Greater Toledo have been invited to participate in the Coffee Break.
  • May 16th
    • Light refreshments will be made available to clients throughout the day.
  • May 17th
    • Case Managers and Senior Brokers will attend the Spring Fling at Tam-O-Shanter. The Spring Fling is sponsored by the Area Office on Aging.
  • May 18th
    • Ms. Claudia Rodriguez will give a HEAP presentation to clients and will distribute donated collections of toiletries to all clients.
  • May 20th
    • Light refreshments will be made available to clients throughout the day.
  • May 23rd through May 27th
    • Career Closet Initiative
      Pathway Staff will be collecting clothing donations for a new and ongoing “Career Closet” initiative. We are asking all Pathway employees to donate clean gently used clothing items to stock the closet. Items will be collected beginning now and the closet will open at the end of Week 4. The closet will serve male and female clients who are in need of professional attire, casual clothing. Children’s clothing will also be collected and available for those in need.

      The Capstone Event during Pathway’s Community Action Month is the “Youth Against Crime Walk” on Saturday May 21st beginning at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 1p.m. The Walk is in honor of all Toledo youth. Youth and young adults up to age 24 may participate. Lucas County Commissioner Pete Gerken has been asked to be our featured speaker to officially kick-off our walk at 9:00 a.m.

      Pathway has partnered with The Toledo Youth Commission, and Life Skills Center of Toledo to coordinate this day of festivities. There will be food and giveaways following the walk. An after party has been planned for the youth and is being hosted by The Toledo Youth Commission at the Fredrick Douglas Center from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. All youth attending the walk will be admitted to the after party. It should be noted that youth are leading the event planning efforts.
