Our workforce development programs help individuals move toward financial stability by teaching them job-search and job-retention skills, as well as financial literacy.

Employment Readiness Training

A 2-week program that provides job training and placement services to unemployed Lucas County residents, including:

  • Identifying the job skills you already have
  • Learning how to apply for jobs online
  • Developing a resume
  • Practicing writing cover and thank you letters

You’ll also learn about effective job search techniques, interview etiquette, and appropriate interview and on-the-job attire.

Interested in participating? We hold orientation sessions each Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Financial Literacy Class

This program provides the education and tools you need to:

  • Deal with debt
  • Manage your cash flow
  • Understand credit and credit scores
  • Set strong financial goals

It is based on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Your Money, Your Goals: A Financial Empowerment Toolkit.

Work Experience Program

This program offers participants the opportunity to gain practical, on-the-job experience and skills while enhancing their resumes.
