Let’s get P.A.I.D.

Pathway’s Workforce Development Programs help individuals move toward financial stability by teaching them professional development, computer literacy, soft skills, job-search and job-retention skills, as well as financial literacy. Workforce will also provide linkages to certification, education and job placement opportunities.

Professional and individual development program (P.A.I.D.)

A 2-week employment program that provides job training and job placement services to unemployed, underemployed, and hard-to-employ Lucas County residents, including:

  • Identifying current job skills and developing new skills
  • Learning various techniques on applying for jobs
  • Job placement opportunities
  • Soft Skills and Life Skills training
  • Developing resumes, cover and thank you letters
  • Professional Development
  • Financial Literacy
  • Educational and Certification opportunities

You’ll also learn about effective job search techniques, interview etiquette, and appropriate interview and on-the-job attire.

Financial Literacy Class

This program provides the education and tools you need to:

  • Deal with debt
  • Manage your cash flow
  • Understand credit and credit scores
  • Set strong financial goals
  • Resources to repair credit activity

It is based on the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s Money Smart: A Financial Education Program.

Work Experience Program

This program partners with the Lucas County Department of Job and Family Services to offer TANF eligible participants the opportunity to gain practical, on-the-job work experiences and skills necessary to gain and retain employment.
