No One Should Have to Choose Between Heat and Food – We’re Here to Help

At Pathway, Inc., we believe every person deserves to live with dignity, comfort, and security—especially when it comes to something as essential as keeping the lights on and a safe temperature in your home. That’s why we’re offering a variety of Home Energy Assistance Services to help ease the burden on families struggling to make ends meet.

If you or someone you know is facing high utility bills, disconnection notices, or is simply trying to get by in extreme weather, these programs are a lifeline—and they’re available now.


What We Offer: Lifesaving Energy Assistance Programs

These programs provide critical financial relief to families, seniors, individuals with medical needs, and those facing crisis situations:

  • Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) 2026
    July 1, 2025 – May 31, 2026
    This is a one-time benefit that is applied directly to the customer’s utility bill or bulk fuel bill.
  • Summer Crisis Program (SCP) 2025
    July 1, 2025 – September 30, 2025
    Offers emergency assistance with electric bills and air conditioning for eligible households, especially seniors or those with health conditions made worse by heat.
  • Winter Crisis Program (WCP) 2026
    November 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026
    Provides immediate help to families at risk of losing their heat during the coldest months of the year.
  • Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP)
    Designed to keep monthly utility bills manageable by allowing you to pay a percentage of your income to maintain service.

How to Apply — It’s Easier Than You Think

You don’t have to face this alone. Getting started is simple:

  • HEAP & PIPP Applications:
    Visit www.energyhelp.ohio.gov to apply online.
  • Need Immediate Help (Summer or Winter)?
    • Call our automated appointment line anytime: 567-354-0202
    • For same-day crisis appointments, call on Wednesdays or Thursdays
    • All appointments are done over the phone for your convenience and safety

What You’ll Need to Apply

Gather the following documents to make the process smooth and successful:

  1. Social Security numbers for all household members
  2. Proof of citizenship or legal residency
  3. Income proof from the last 30 days for all adults (18+)
  4. A copy of your latest gas, electric, or bulk fuel bill
