ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
The Program Coordinator operates under the supervision of the Program Director for the Brothers’ United Program within the Department of Family and Supportive Services. The Coordinator will offer general guidance on program priorities and goals, exercise independent judgment in daily operations, provide direction to assigned staff, and ensure that program outcomes are met. Work performance will be evaluated through regular reports, meetings, and performance assessments.
- Lead and coordinate the work of assigned Community Health Workers and staff to ensure effective outreach, recruitment, and participant engagement.
- Recruit and retain participants for Brothers and Sisters United Healthy Start co-parenting sessions, including data reporting and group facilitation.
- Conduct and attend all Healthy Start meetings and coordinate services for participants.
- Review staff progress toward weekly, monthly, and annual goals, and provide coaching and support to help them achieve their objectives.
- Collect, review, and submit accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on outreach, enrollment, retention, and program outcomes.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry in all program databases, and monitor data quality and accuracy to maintain consistency.
- Conduct regular team meetings to share updates, track progress, and address any challenges that arise.
- Provide staff with training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, hospitals, clinics, and agencies to support referrals and program growth.
- Assist in program planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure services meet grant and organizational requirements.
- Ensure program compliance with policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- Prepare and deliver presentations as needed for partners, stakeholders, and community engagement.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support program effectiveness and organizational goals.
SUPPORTING FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor outreach schedules and coordinate staff participation in community events to ensure effective engagement.
- Track and analyze trends, challenges, and successes in recruitment and service delivery; recommend improvements.
- Ensure program literature and outreach materials are available and distributed consistently.
- Serve as liaison between staff and the Program Director for problem-solving and decision-making.
- Participate in agency-wide initiatives, trainings, and collaborations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Knowledge of data collection, program monitoring, and reporting processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office, data systems, and reporting tools.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Health, or related field required; or equivalent combination of education and relevant leadership experience. Minimum of 2 years of program coordination or team leadership experience preferred.
